Crystal Plamondon, Emma-Lee, Laurie Kerr & Rob Heath |
|
|
On Monday, May 4 don’t miss four remarkable singer-songwriters… Crystal Plamondon, Emma-Lee, Laurie Kerr & Rob Heath as they take to the stage at The Vat (5301 43 Street, Red Deer).
This special evening will take on the tradition of a Songwriter Round with all four singers on stage taking turns as they express their individual points of view through their own personal experiences and observations. The result is an evening with an interesting juxtaposition of artists, material and styles where improvisation and spontaneity abound. This fun atmosphere will encourage an informal interplay and camaraderie among the performers and their audience.
Crystal Plamondon is a talented bilingual songwriter, singer, and performer with a twenty-year track record of consistently delivering passionate concerts that cover an emotional range from heart-warming ballads to rockin’ country and zydeco. Crystal never fails to connect with her audience! She just released a new CD On a Song & a Prayer and one of the tunes from the recording “Forever More” was featured on the hit CBC-TV series Heartland. www.crystalplamondon.com
Emma-Lee… Armed with a voice that transports you, Emma-Lee chose not to rest on this strength alone. She instead put a sincere focus on becoming a great songwriter and the results of her efforts are fully evidenced throughout her debut CD Never Just A Dream. Her weakness for a great pop melody turns out to be one of her greatest strengths. Saucy and sweet, pensive and pure, Never Just A Dream offers a candid peek inside the romantic heart. www.emma-lee.com/
Laurie Kerr moved to Nashville in pursuit of becoming a stronger songwriter. She's written with Andrew Gold, Steve Fox, Patricia Conroy, Colin Linden (Blackie & the Rodeo Kings), Gord Matthews (Ian Tyson, kd lang) and Spirit of the West's Vince Ditritch, and performed with artists like Lari White, Gretchen Peters, Michelle Wright, Lisa Brokop, Joy Lynn White, and Derec Ruttan. Whether she's rockin' in Nashville with her band at the Exit Inn or in an acoustic round at the Bluebird cafe, Laurie says she's most at home on stage and is blessed to be living out her dream. www.myspace.com/lauriekerr
Rob Heath’s is first and foremost a storyteller who just happens to be a songwriter. We all have things we wish we could say. Rob decided to say them with rich melodies and lyrics delivered in a voice haunting in its simplicity. He has written for Glen Campbell Music, Criterion/Atlantic Music and Don Goodman Music in the USA. In late November, 2008, Rob released his latest CD One More Day Above Ground, which is doing extremely well on radio worldwide. www.robheath.com
